Phenelle Segal, the company founder, is a Registered Nurse with 25 years of extensive Infection Control experience. Certified in Infection Control (CIC), she has directed programs in acute care facilities in Maryland, California and Pennsylvania. Phenelle's management experience ranges from large teaching hospitals to community hospitals, and a nationwide renowned Rehabilitation hospital. Her goal in assisting Long Term Care facilities in enhancing their practice of Infection Control is being well met throughout PA and NJ. She conducts extensive education for healthcare organizations, community groups, and medical/dental practices. 

 

Phenelle chairs the acute/long-term care workgroup of the "Fight MRSA! Alliance in the Philadelphia region". Her consulting practice assists acute care facilities with surveillance for State compliance and has conducted audits of medical records for the State of Pennsylvania. She is currently under contract to the PA Patient Safety Authority as their Infection Control/Patient Safety Analyst, assisting them in enacting ACT 52. Her expertise in, and knowledge of Act 52 is highly recognized.

 

She is active in many professional and community associations/organizations including certification by the Commonwealth of PA's Bureau of Minority and Women Business Opportunities. She has authored numerous articles for health care journals relating to various topics in Infectious Diseases and Infection Control. Her Infection Control Manual for Long Term Care is a customized product (produced in January of 2007) which has been well received by many facilities nationwide. Phenelle has recently appeared in numerous newspaper articles throughout the Delaware Valley, and was featured on Action News Channel 6 - Healthcheck.
